Starting from 07:00am
This event is organised by Active Training World
JOIN US FOR THE HERTFORDSHIRE TRIATHLON ON SUNDAY 23RD MAY 2021.
This event will feature sprint and standard individual triathlons, both with relay and aquabike options. The sprint distance triathlon includes the Herts Club Championships, but is open to everyone. The race starts with an open water lake swim before heading out onto a rural, undulating bike course in the Hertfordshire countryside. The run is completely traffic free, on a compact grass surface.
The triathlon will begin at 07:00am. All events will take the style of a time trial with athletes started at 20 second intervals with the fastest athletes starting the swim first. This is based on the estimated finish time given at the checkout when entering. This format may change depending on the Covid restrictions in place at the time.
Many people are understandably nervous regarding entering events again and we want to assure you that we take every measure we can to organise a safe, socially distanced event. To see this in action watch our video Covid-19 Safety at ActiveTrainingWorld Running and Triathlon Events
We want you to book with confidence so, if this event can no longer go ahead, and an alternative date isn’t found, you will be offered a virtual run or a refund of your entry fee. (Booking fees are non-refundable)

The course is fast, flat and has great PB potential.
Swim: Lake swim. The route is a 750m CLOCKWISE loop around the circumference of the lake. The sprint distance athletes will complete one loop, wheras the standard distance athletes will complete two full loops.
Bike: On an undulating road surface, the route heads out to a roundabout where the main loop starts. The sprint distance athletes will complete one loop and the standard distance athletes will complete two loops.
Run: The course is on hard, compacted ground with short cut grass, so despite being an off-road run, is incredibly fun to race on and can make for some fast times! There is one short climb towards the end of each lap.
