Open Water Swimming PeaPod

Spread some hap-pea-ness with Carly!

Last year, regular Merchant Taylors Lake swimmer Carly donned a strawberry outfit to take a unique dip in the lake for charity.  She returned again this Sunday but this time, dressed as a pea pod as part of her challenge to cover 50K in fancy dress throughout April.

This is all part of the FoodCycle50 Challenge as Carly is raising money for the charity, FoodCycle.  Every week across the country, FoodCycle hosts community meals, where people have access to a free, sit down meal and can enjoy food, company and conversation in a safe and welcoming environment.

“The Pea Pod has been on another adventure – this time a 1K swim! Big thanks to the team at Active Swim World for once again allowing me to swim in my crazy outfit! I can confirm, the pea pod was a lot heavier than the strawberry outfit!”

You can sign up to do your own FoodCycle50 challenge here or you can make a donation on Carly’s fundraising page here.
